Ministry Renewal

The vocation of Christian ministry is one of the most complex and demanding of all leadership tasks. Ministry requires not just personal, spiritual and theological foundations, but a wide range of individual and interactive people skills.

Ministry brings wonderful encouragements, but can also generate deep spiritual and emotional exhaustion. It can stress family relationships and place pressure on friendships. These ordinary forms of support, often easily available to others, are complicated in ministry by the places and situations in which ministers are called to serve.

Ministry can often involve times of conflict. The desire to see the grace of God transform individuals, the church community and even the wider society can lead to challenges which are not always welcome. There are real personal costs in encouraging others to become faithful disciples of Jesus Christ.

Not all people involved in ministry find healthy pathways through these pressures and stresses. Ministry Renewal Retreats exist to help you find ways forward.
